Quebec's Ministry of Immigration, Frenchisation, and Integration (MIFI) conducted its first draw of October. This was the 16th Quebec RSWP draw held in 2023.
The Quebec RSWP draw held on November 16, 2023, saw invitations being issued to 1,210 candidates for permanent selection. Invited candidates required a score equal to or greater than 609 points to be eligible for this invitation round.
The date and time of extraction from the Arrima bank was November 13, 2023 at 6:30 a.m.
The decisions to invite candidates to submit an application for the permanent selection made on the basis of invitation criteria were public under section 45 of the Québec Immigration Act. As of June 2023, only those who declare they have a level 7 oral proficiency (or higher) in French according to the Échelle québécoise des niveaux de compétence en français des personnes immigrantes adultes (Québec scale of French proficiency levels for adult immigrants) in their Expression of Interest may be invited to submit an application for permanent selection.
Candidate’s profiles are evaluated based on the selection grid criteria aka Quebec points calculator - used by the Quebec government to assess their eligibility for the RSWP. This includes factors such as education, work experience, age, language proficiency in French and/or English, and other criteria that are specific to the Quebec RSWP.
The highest-ranking candidates are invited to apply for a Certificat de Selection du Quebec (CSQ).
