Candidates who may be qualified for Ontario's Foreign Worker and In-Demand Skills programmes have been encouraged to apply for a provincial nomination. On February 9, the province of Ontario invited 749 workers to apply for a provincial nomination. Candidates having profiles in the Expression of Interest (EOI) system of the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) were encouraged to apply. These individuals may be qualified for one of the following Employer Job Offer streams: In-Demand Skills or Foreign Workers.
There were three draws in total between the two streams. The Foreign Worker stream was separated into 476 applicants from a focused trades professions draw and 166 from a general draw. In the In-Demand Skills stream draw, 107 people were invited. In the most recent Ontario Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) draw, a total of 476 individuals with a minimum score of 24 were invited under the Foreign Worker Stream (trades occupations) which is a sub-category of the Employer Job Offer Category. Also, under the same Foreign Worker Stream (general), 166 individuals with a minimum score requirement of 41 were invited. Apart from it, 107 candidates with a minimum score of 15 were invited from the In-Demand Skills stream.
