Nursing, banking, and food service managers were among the 18 occupations targeted in Ontario's most recent PNP draw. Ontario held its second draw in two days on January 12, inviting 502 Express Entry candidates to apply for a provincial candidacy. The invited candidates had Express Entry profiles with CRS scores ranging from 464 to 467.
The Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) welcomed candidates who may qualify for the Express Entry Human Capital Priorities (HCP) Stream in the next draw. This Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) allows foreign workers to start their careers in Ontario and migrate to the country's most populated province.

Express Entry is a management system for three Federal High Skilled Immigration Programs: the FSWP (Federal Skilled Workers Program), the FSTP (Federal Skilled Trades Program), and the CEC (Canadian Experience Class). Express Entry applicants may be eligible for one or more of these programs.
Once approved into the Express Entry pool, IRCC distributes points based on human capital indicators such as age, job experience, education, language ability in English or French, and other variables. After that, the top scorers are asked to apply for an Express Entry lottery.
Express Entry applicants who are nominated by a PNP automatically receive a 600 CRS point increase to their total score. This practically ensures them an ITA in the next Express Entry draw. During the pandemic, (IRCC) held PNP-only draws, requiring candidates to have a PNP to be invited.
