Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has conducted a new Express Entry draw. This was the 16th draw conducted by IRCC in 2024.
The Express Entry latest draw held on April 24, 2024, saw invitations being issued to 1,400 candidates across a French language proficiency draw. Invited candidates required a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 410 to be eligible.
Type of Draw: French language proficiency (2024-1)
Candidates invited in this draw, have 60 days to prepare and submit a complete application for permanent residence (PR) to the IRCC.
If you were issued an Invitation to Apply (ITA) in this draw, you will receive a message in your account telling you:
You will be asked to provide proof of the information you gave while creating your Express Entry profile. IRCC will then assess whether the information you submit in your Canada PR application matches the one you provided in your Express Entry profile. You will also be required to pay the mandatory Canada PR application fee which includes a processing fee for you and your family members, a right of Permanent Residence fee, and a biometric fee.

If you were not Invited to Apply
If you did not receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA), your profile will remain active for 12 months in the Express Entry pool. You may be issued an ITA in the next Express Entry draw. Do not create a new profile until your existing Express Entry profile expires.
80% of Canada PR applications are processed within six months or earlier.
The next Express Entry draw is projected to be conducted on May 07, 2024
Express Entry draws are conducted every two weeks, usually on a Wednesday. The number of ITAs, minimum CRS score, and draw-type are determined by the IRCC. This varies depending on factors including, the Canadian economy, labour market, and the immigration targets set in the Canada Immigration Level Plans 2024-2026.
