Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) held an unusual provincial draw on April 19, inviting a total of 399 immigrants to apply for a provincial nomination for Canada PR Visa.
Typically, Manitoba holds three provincial draws at a time and invites only a handful of Express Entry applicants. The new draw did not include any Skilled Workers from Manitoba or any applicants for the International Education stream.
Also, the province had different score requirements for Expressions of Interest (EOI) depending on whether invited candidates were invited as part of strategic recruiting initiatives or whether they already had an Express Entry profile.

Following is the result of the latest Manitoba PNP provincial draw:
Express Entry candidates can apply for provincial nomination only if their profile is valid to be assessed by Manitoba PNP. All invited candidates have 60 days from receipt of their Letter of Advice to Apply (LAA) to apply for the Provincial Nomination.
With a provincial nomination, Express entry candidates get 600 additional CRS points. These many points effectively guarantee an ITA to submit their application for Canada PR Visa to the IRCC.
