The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program has issued 223 Letters of Advice to Apply to Canada immigration candidates in a new draw.
LAAs were distributed across three MPNP streams in the April 7 draw.
In Manitoba, skilled workers received 156 LAAs, with the lowest-ranking candidates receiving 739 points.
Candidates in the International Education Stream received 34 LAAs.
With a minimum score of 683, the remaining 33 LAAs were awarded to Skilled Workers Overseas candidates through a Strategic Recruitment Initiative.
30 of the 223 individuals had valid Express Entry IDs and job seeker validation codes, according to Manitoba.

In the MPNP's history, this was the 142nd draw.
The Skilled Worker in Manitoba Stream (SWM) is centred on Manitoba employers' specific needs. SWM identifies foreign-trained workers who have the necessary abilities and nominates them for permanent residency in Canada. With two pathways to Manitoba immigration, the stream favors people with a strong connection to the province.
For applicants currently working in Manitoba on temporary work permits, through the Temporary Foreign Worker Program or as international graduates from any province. Candidates do not need to be working in In-Demand Occupations.
For applicants from overseas with job offers from approved Manitoba employers.

International graduates from Manitoba colleges and universities are eligible for the International Education Stream (IES). Candidates are no longer required to work in their field for six months before filing for an MPNP nomination under IES. There are three options:

How to qualify under the Skilled Workers Overseas Stream?
A dedicated Canada Express Entry pathway and a direct provincial pathway are both parts of the Skilled Worker Overseas Stream (SWO). It is aimed at skilled overseas employees with experience and training in Manitoba's In-Demand Occupations. Applicants and spouses with close family ties are given priority, as well as those who have the necessary language skills, training, and experience to find jobs quickly.
