The Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) has invited applicants who may be eligible for the Human Capital Priorities (HCP) stream of Express Entry. In the latest round of invitations, Ontario has targeted express entry candidates who have work experience in one of the following targeted 10 occupations:
These targeted occupations were identical to previous Ontario HCP draws on February 2 and March 2.
Candidates invited to Express Entry must have at least one year of work experience in one of these professions to receive the provincial nomination. If appointed under this PNP or any other PNP related to Express Entry, they will be placed in the lead to receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for Permanent Residence.
During the pandemic, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) held PNP-only draws, where applicants needed a PNP to be invited.
In 2020, Canada also held PNP-only draws as well as draws for all programs around the second half of the year, where all applicants were invited who had a score above the CRS cut-off.
