Latest Express Entry draw invites 763 candidates for PR

Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has conducted a new Express Entry draw. This was the first invitation round conducted by the department in August.

If you have been invited in this latest Express Entry draw, you will have 60 days to submit a complete permanent residence (PR) application to the IRCC. If this timeframe passes, your invitation will no longer be valid.

Latest Express Entry Draw - Results

The latest Express Entry draw held on August 13, 2024, invited a total of 763 candidates across a PNP-specific draw. The minimum CRS score required to be eligible for an Invitation to Apply (ITA) was 690.

If more than one candidate has the lowest score, the CRS score cut-off will be based on the date and time they submitted their Express Entry profiles.

If you did not get invited

If you were not invited, your profile will remain active in the Express Entry pool for 12 months from the submission date. Do not withdraw your application, you may receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA) in the next Express Entry draw.

Last month, IRCC invited a total of 25,125 candidates across nine Express Entry draws. As of 2024, IRCC is conducting three types of draws under the Express Entry Program.

• General Express Entry draws: In general Express Entry draws, IRCC selects candidates from the pool who qualify for one of the three streams under the Express Entry program.

• Program-specific Express Entry draws: In program-specific Express Entry draws, IRCC picks candidates eligible for a particular stream associated with a Provincial Nominee Program (PNP).

• Category-based Express Entry draws: In category-based Express Entry draws, IRCC chooses candidates by setting a category to achieve a specific economic goal.

Your chances of receiving an invitation to the upcoming Express Entry draws will entirely depend on your CRS score. The higher your score, the more your chances of gaining Canadian permanent residency.
