IRCC Invites 4,000 CEC Candidates In Latest Express Entry Draw

The Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has conducted its third invitation round of the month. This draw follows the two draws last week which invited 911 candidates from the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) and 1,000 candidates across a category-based Express Entry draw for French-language proficiency.

Today, candidates from Express Entry’s Canadian Experience Class (CEC) were issued Invitations to Apply (ITA). This was the largest CEC draw since 5,000 candidates were issued ITAs in a draw conducted on July 31, 2024.

If you have been invited in this latest Express Entry draw, you will have 60 days to submit a complete application for permanent residence (PR) to the IRCC. If this timeframe passes, your ITA will no longer be valid.

Latest Express Entry Draw - Results

The latest Express Entry draw was held on September 19, 2024. A total of 4,000 candidates from the Canadian Experience Class (CEC) stream were issued invitations. Candidates required a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 509 to be eligible for an invitation.

If more than one candidate has the lowest score, the CRS score cut-off will be based on the date and time they submitted their Express Entry profiles.

If you did not get invited

If you were not invited, your profile will remain active in the Express Entry pool for 12 months from the date of submission. Do not withdraw your application, you may receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA) in the next Express Entry draw.

Draws under the Express Entry Program in 2024 have followed an unusual pattern throughout 2024. For instance, in July, IRCC conducted nine Express Entry draws welcoming over 25,000 candidates to apply for permanent residence (PR). Last month in August, the department conducted five invitation rounds that invited over 10,000 candidates.

Usually, Express Entry draws are held once every two weeks. This has made it difficult to predict when the next invitation round will occur. However, the chances of receiving an invitation in the upcoming Express Entry draws will entirely depend on the candidate’s CRS score. The higher the score, the more the chances of gaining Canada PR.
