First Express Entry Draw of 2025 Invites 471 Candidates

Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has conducted its new Express Entry Draw. The latest draw was held to invite candidates from the PNP category.

It is the first Express Entry draw of the year. If you have been invited to this latest Express Entry draw, you will have 60 days to submit your application for Canada PR.

Latest Express Entry Draw - Results

The latest Express Entry draw was held on 7 January 2025. A total of 471 candidates were invited to apply under the Provincial Nominee Program. The minimum Comprehensive Ranking Score (CRS) required for this draw was 793.

• Rank needed: 471 or above
• Tie-breaking rule: November 25, 2024 at 16:57:27 UTC

If more than one candidate has the lowest score, the cut-off is based on the date and time they submitted their Express Entry profiles.

Express Entry Program 

Express Entry program is a fast-paced immigration pathway to get Canada PR. Your chances of getting an Invitation to Apply depend on your Comprehensive Ranking Score (CRS). The CRS depends on factors such as language proficiency, work experience, age, and others. There are three different types of rounds of invitations under Express Entry Program such as:-

• General rounds of invitations
• Program-specific rounds of invitations
• Category-based rounds of invitations

If you were not invited to this draw, then your profile remains active in the Express Entry pool for 12 months from the date of submission. You should not withdraw your application as you may receive an ITA in the next Express Entry draw.
