Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has conducted its third Express Entry draw of the month. If you’ve been invited to the Express Entry latest draw, you will have 60 days to submit a complete application for permanent residence (PR) to the IRCC. If this timeframe passes, your Invitation to Apply (ITA) will not be valid.
The Express Entry latest draw was held on March 17, 2025. Invitations were issued to 536 candidates across a Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) draw. Candidates required a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 736 to be eligible for an ITA.
Draw No: 340
Type of Draw: Provincial Nominee Program
If more than one candidate has the lowest score, the cut-off is based on the date and time they submitted their Express Entry profiles.
Each province in Canada has its own selection criteria, which are usually based on labour market needs and skill shortages. Key eligibility factors include work experience, education, language proficiency, and age. Some provinces may also require a job offer or a connection to the region. Generally, receiving a Provincial Nominee (PN) from any participating province adds 600 points to your Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score, greatly boosting your chances of getting an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for permanent residency.
This was the tenth draw conducted by IRCC under the Express Entry Program in 2025. Including the Express Entry latest draw, the department has so far invited 23,183 candidates to apply for Canada PR. Overall, the trends suggest a strong preference for PNP and French-speaking candidates, with opportunities for CEC applicants as well.

As Express Entry draws continue, candidates with high CRS scores and additional factors like provincial nominations or French language proficiency stand a better chance of receiving invitations. Those planning to apply for Canada PR should stay updated on upcoming Express Entry draws, improve their profiles, and explore alternate pathways to enhance their chances of securing Canadian permanent residency in 2025.
