Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has revealed full details about the Home Care Worker Immigration. The Canadian government has announced the occupation selected for these pilot programs and the application fee for those to get Canada Permanent Residency.
The Home Care Worker Immigration is divided into two pilot programs: Child Care and Home Support. As previously announced each program will feature two streams:
The Workers in Canada stream for each pilot will accept applications from 10 am EDT on March 31, 202,5 to March 30, 2026, or until the cap has been reached.
The eligibility requirements for HCWP Child Care and HCWP Home Support are as follows:

HCWP: Child Care
The following occupations are eligible under the Child Care pilot:

NOTE: Work experience from institutional settings, like long-term care facilities, is eligible. The experience must not have been gained while a full-time student or through self-employment.
Foreign nationals who lack qualifying work experience may still apply if they have relevant professional training. To be eligible, their educational credential must:
Moreover, applicants must be at least 17 years old when they start their educational program.
The offer must be for a position in one of the listed eligible NOCs and be full-time (at least 30 hours per week). It must be for a permanent, continuous role with no specified end date. Additionally, job offers must include wage details and a description of the role’s main duties. Applicants must demonstrate the likelihood of accepting and fulfilling the role described.
A “genuine” job offer must meet the following:
Employers must also demonstrate that they have been providing similar care services for at least a year before the job offer was made.

Applicants Already in Canada
Foreign nationals currently residing in Canada are eligible to apply under the HCWP if they:
Applicants who are outside Canada at the time of application must prove that they habitually reside in Canada.
Out-of-Status Workers
A portion of the HCWP program allocation is reserved for regularizing out-of-status workers. These applicants must meet the following:
Eligible out-of-status workers can apply even if their prior work was unauthorized.
Applicants outside Canada must demonstrate that they have sufficient funds to support themselves and their dependents upon arrival in Canada. The amount varies based on family size, with specific amounts outlined based on the number of family members. For instance, an individual needs at least $14,690, while a family of four would need around $27,297.

Conclusion
According to the Canada Immigration Levels Plan 2025-2027, IRCC has allocated 10,920 new immigrant admissions spots through “Federal Economic Pilots”, under which the new Home Care Worker Immigration Pilots will fall.
This initiative not only promotes family reunification for caregivers but also creates a positive impact on the Canadian economy. It will also boost the participation of the local communities in fulfilling the labour needs of the society.
