BC PNP Latest Draw Invites 163 Candidates For PR

The British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) has conducted a new draw. This was the third invitation round conducted by the province in September.

If you have been invited in this BC PNP latest draw, you will have 30 days to submit a complete application for permanent residence (PR) to the BC PNP. If this timeframe passes, your invitation will no longer be valid.

The BC PNP latest draw was held on September 17, 2024. A total of 163 candidates were invited across a Skills Immigration draw. Invited candidates required a minimum score of 83 to be eligible for an invitation.

• Entrepreneur Immigration

The Skills Immigration category targets workers with the skills and qualifications needed in BC, while Express Entry BC allows faster processing for candidates already registered in Canada’s Express Entry system. Entrepreneur Immigration focuses on those looking to invest and manage a business in the province.

Candidates in these categories are assessed based on a points system aka BC PNP points calculator, which considers factors like work experience, education, language proficiency, and occupation. The minimum score required for selection can vary from draw to draw, depending on the province’s labour demands and the number of applicants.

Once invited through a BC PNP draw, candidates must submit a complete application to the province. If their application is successful, they receive a provincial nomination, which significantly boosts their chances of obtaining Canadian permanent residency through the federal immigration system.

Currently, 80% of applications under the BC PNP are processed within 8-10 months.
