BC PNP latest draw invites 156 candidates to apply for PR

The British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) has conducted its third invitation round of the month. Candidates from BC’s Skills Immigration category were invited to apply for permanent residency (PR).

If you have been invited in this BC PNP latest draw, you must submit a complete application for PR within 30 days. If this timeframe passes, your invitation will no longer be valid.

BC PNP Latest Draw - Results

The BC PNP latest draw was held on August 20, 2024. A total of 156 candidates were invited across a Skills Immigration draw. Candidates with work experience in in-demand occupations in British Columbia were targeted.

If you did not receive an invitation in this BC PNP latest draw, your profile will remain active in the pool of candidates – for 12 months from the date of submission. You can expect to receive an invitation in the next BC PNP draws. The province conducts 4-5 draws every month, usually on a Tuesday.

The next BC PNP draw is projected to be conducted on August 27, 2024.

BC PNP Latest Draw - Selection Criteria

Targeted invitations in this Skills Immigration draw were issued based on the following selection factors as defined in the BC PNP points calculator:

  • Education - level and field of education and where it was completed
  • Eligible professional designations in B.C.
  • Language skills
  • Occupation
  • Duration and skill level of work experience
  • Wage and/or skill level of job offer
  • Intent to live, work and settle in a specific region
  • Strategic priorities - factors that address specific labour market needs in B.C. or support government pilot projects and initiatives

Managed by the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP), Skills Immigration draws are a key part of British Columbia's immigration process. These draws invite skilled workers, international graduates, and other qualified individuals to apply for permanent residence in the province. The program aims to fill labour shortages by attracting workers in high-demand occupations like Healthcare, Technology, and Trades.

Candidates who meet the program’s requirements enter a pool, where they are ranked based on factors like work experience, education, and job offers.

Currently, 80% of applications under the BC PNP are being processed within 8-10 months.
