156 Foreign Workers and Entrepreneurs invited in the latest BC PNP draw

The British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) has conducted a new draw. This was the fourth invitation round conducted by the department in September.

Candidates invited under this latest BC PNP draw, will now have 30 days to submit a complete application for permanent residence (PR) to the BC PNP. If this timeframe passes, the invitation will no longer be valid.

Latest BC PNP Draw - Results

The latest BC PNP draw was held on September 24, 2024. A total of 156 candidates across a Skills Immigration draw and an Entrepreneur Immigration draw were invited to apply for PR. Invited candidates required a minimum score of 80 to be eligible for an invitation.

Candidates who were not invited will remain active in the application pool - for 12 months from the submission date. They may receive an invitation in the next BC PNP draw. British Columbia conducts 4-5 draws every month - typically every Tuesday.

Skills Immigration

Targeted invitations in this Skills Immigration draw were issued based on the following selection factors as defined in the BC PNP points calculator:

  • Education - level and field of education and where it was completed
  • Eligible professional designations in B.C.
  • Language skills
  • Occupation
  • Duration and skill level of work experience
  • Wage and/or skill level of job offer
  • Intent to live, work and settle in a specific region
  • Strategic priorities - factors that address specific labour market needs in B.C. or support government pilot projects and initiatives

Entrepreneur Immigration

Targeted invitations in this Entrepreneur Immigration draw were issued based on the following selection factors:

  • The qualified candidate’s registration score
  • The specific region in which a candidate proposes to establish a business
  • The population size of the community in which the candidate proposes to establish a business
  • Whether the proposed business is a start-up or a purchase of an existing business
  • Whether the business proposal is aligned with identified priority business sectors

Managed by the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP), Skills Immigration draws are a key part of British Columbia's immigration process. Currently, 80% of applications under the BC PNP are being processed within 8-10 months.
